Pastured-raised, worm-eating, bug-scratching, non-GMO chicken.  This bird was raised how chickens are meant to live: outside, on grass, with room to forage.  

These chickens are our older egg laying hens that have given us many eggs throughout the last 2 years.  Stewing hens are sought after for their superior nutrient value that comes at a lower cost. Stewing hens need to be cooked at a low heat for several hours before they will become tender. When cooked correctly, however, stewing hens yield delicious meat and rich, flavorful chicken stock. The flavor is rich and delightful.
