A.A.- Coconut Kefir- Plain
What is Kefir? Kefir is an ancient cultured food that acts as a natural antibiotic and contains an abundant amount of amino acids, essential enzymes, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, vitamins B6, B12, and vitamin K. Kefir contains 30 strains of 7 different kinds of beneficial bacteria and yeast that form colonies to preserve each other. It can be made from cow's milk, goat's milk, coconut milk, and other beverages.
How much should I consume? A good place to start is 2-4 oz of the Kefir a day. This is for daily maintenance, and then working your way up to 1 cup daily. Depending on a person size and use of probiotics will change the recommended amount. Children ages 6 months-13 years, we recommend 1-2 oz per day of kefir for daily maintenance. Larger dosages (1-4 cups daily) can be useful for people whose ecosystems are adjusted to having probiotics, or if they have a illness or disease that needs more attention. Personally, I drink 8-16 oz a day of our Kefir (4-8 oz in the morning and 4-8 oz before bed) Empty stomach is best!!
